thought i would let all you know that im in the middle of moving. We found a new place with no stairs
with my injury it takes forever and a day to get helped up and down a full flight of stairs. We have needed to move for a long time, this just forces us to stop putting it off ^^
im really excited about this move, but it does mean im not on as much as i would like
I do still pop in all through the day to make sure im to late with any events

this is what i see now
the Xray flux has now risen to a much higher background flux
[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

the nict in now showing signs that the expected CME still might make an apperance
[link to www2.nict.go.jp]

the magnetometer is now showing a sharp drop
[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]
and here is the electron flux that shows movement as well

Good luck with your new home, NINzrez!hf The fast-growing active region in the northeast (nearing mid-disk) has been dubbed 11334-though it looks like two regions to me. It's already produced 2 or 3 C-flares. There is still an un-numbered region near the east limb which has also produced C-flares.

The tiny SOHO comet seems to have vaporized-of course there's a 2 hour gap in SOHO images at the time of impact. And so it goes.

The new place without stairs should really help. I am handicapped and spend much time in an electric wheelchair to get around. Ten years ago we moved into a completely handicapped accessible home. Not even one step inside and not even one step to get into the house either. It made an incredible difference to me. I hope the same for you.

lolsign Nice get-up, lol.

The M1.1 was from the un-numbered region on the northeastern limb (should be #11335 before too long).

M1.1 Flare on 10/31/2011 @ 15:08 UTC - sunspot - un-numbered region on the far Northeast limb

but don't take your eye off region 1330!

right now:
Sunspot 1330:
62% chance for a M Flare
57% chance for a X Flare

Isn't ironic that we watch these giant spots quietly traverse the sun's face and then we get the biggest flare in a week from a region with only a few tiny freckles you can barely see. I agree with NIN, tho, we can't forget about 1330 as it may be getting jealous for some attention now, lol. Also, region 1334 has grown extremely fast and looks like 1330's little brother now.

I found this interesting nugget on LDE's from Berkely's Solar Science Lab. Strangely, I came across this yesterday, but it wasn't published 'til today.

After looking at the AIA 171 image zoomed in on the east limb, I'm of the opinion that this flare is from OVER the visible limb. A big hot spot has not yet rotated into full view-and another active region is approaching the limb in the south, IMO.
