I've been away from the computer more the last few days and haven't kept up with each post as I usually do here. ok... It is about the huge X21? from the other day. Did this release a CME? I know it wasn't pointed directly at Earth. What would be the likely result of a huge CME from a solar flare that large, would be directed at the earth. Would it most likely do more harm than frying electrical things? I mean could it cause physical harm to living things? Thank you for taking the time to address this concern of mine...anyone. Hubby and I are part of our county's search and rescue team. The latest and greatest training says to kneel NEXT to a large, sturdy piece of furniture. The doorways can't hold up under pressure and you'll end up getting crushed. Don't go UNDER furniture, either, same results. If you can't get outside safely, kneel down next to your couch or something similar. It will create a space for you when the ceiling or wall falls and the furniture will take the weight. They also serve who stand and wait. John Milton |
