Both had earth-directed elements (though they were in different general directions); but as the second was more powerful they overlapped and merged. These are the two seen on the Enlil model. If you scroll down to the 19th you'll see a red-highlighted notation-that's the full halo CME @15:12 utc from the M-flare. At 10:12 utc there was a partial-halo CME in the NW. First CME at 10:12 utc (before the M-flare event): [link to spaceweather.gmu.edu] Full-halo CME from M-flare begins at 15:12 utc: [link to spaceweather.gmu.edu] STEREO was missing a lot of data that day, but both CMEs can be seen on this STEREO B movie: [link to spaceweather.gmu.edu] SEEDS list of events: [link to spaceweather.gmu.edu] I noticed this on the 19th but was temporarily banned for reasons unknown and couldn't post. This quickly went down the memory hole after the big M-flare event. Isolated low-level C-class flares were observed. Plage Region 1396 (N25W86) produced a C1 x-ray flare at 20/2112Z associated with a Type II radio sweep (estimated shock velocity 945 km/s) and a non-Earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME). Region 1402 (N29W11) produced a long-duration C1 at 20/2333Z associated with a weak Type IV radio sweep. Region 1402 showed gradual trailer spot decay during the period and was classified as a Cko group with a beta magnetic configuration. Region 1401 (N17W14) also showed gradual trailer spot decay and was classified as an Ehi group with a beta magnetic classification. New Regions 1408 (N08E69) and 1409 (N16E50) were numbered. Somewhat down the page was a 10 day forecast/model (presented as a flash movie) for CME trajectories. a still of the one they had posted: [link to www.bigupload.com] problem is: this thing starts as of today and i can't find the same thing but starting on the 19th. any of u guyz know what the sauce is on this model? who makes it? where its posted? u think the tri-spoked spiral field lines whown in the model is close to the real thing? How do they know that i wonder? notice how the CME path is curved(can only see on the site)?
