That's a bunch of YouTube nonsense! We're dealing with a serious blast of hot, magnetitized plasma from the M8 flare CME eruption. Sit back and enjoy the doom.

Hey hugh, it looks like that filament loop lifted off, does it stand a shot at hitting us

It means the Solar wind's magnetic field is connecting to Earth's...lot's of energy pouring into the ionosphere. This is what sparks up the Aurora Borealis.

Hugh---why is the K index so low...protons are low also...??
 Quoting: <<LOOK`n thru YOU>>

Hey, Look'n, if you have bino's or a smaller moon-scope, please check out the moon. It's probably nothing, but I stepped outside and thought I could see a cloud of dust around the Moon. Of course it's most likely chem-stuff in the upper atmosphere of Earth, but just maybe.... MOON DOOM....hmmmm.

It's nice to see they left everything up and running this time so that we get these beautiful simulations from NICT

[link to www2.nict.go.jp]

Can't imagine what it would have looked like when the winds were 998k/s and in the middle of an S4 storm.

It looks scary, but the magnetosphere is doing a bang up job of protecting us this AM.

Right around 9:00 UTC (5 EST with DST) seems to be the highest spike in activity in regard to protons and solar wind speed , so far.

It's the CME impact from the Long Duration Event (M 8.4 Flare)

That's from the Jan 23rd CME, so it happens from time to time.

Anyone watching this particular CME, the ACE satellite gives you a little look ahead [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] as it's further toward the sun. I think about an hour.

Nin, hope you are still healing well and on the way to total recovery.. El, Gabe, IWB, tom, Tauranga, Mama, everyone, hope you are all well, I know i didnt mention everyone but you are all included in my thoughts weekly..

Ive tried to read back and find out when this CME is due to hit but have gotten lost in the posts ..,. I have to work backwards from your time and I dont get utc.. yes Ive tried lol, but my brain is full and I have no more room LOL.. so could someone (bats eyelashes and smiles big) please give me estimated time of arrival in usa eastern time so i can work out when its due to hit us here on aussie east coast.. also, if someone could be so kind as to answer if sun side or night side matters with a cme.. i cant remember lol.. which is pretty typical of my brain atm..

Thanks guys... love ya guts!

last week my dad was with him when the larger storm hit. at the peak it he just fell over...he is ok.
but what they found out down in the basement by all the metal pipes was the worst place next to outside...go figure.
so he is kinda a meter for the ground effect to all this.
i wish him and all well during all this.

Guys, jokes aside, this is probably the most critical period in our times.

Something is out there, it's HUGE and it's screwing around with our Sun. Our magnetosphere is taking one hellova beating because of those huge CMEs.

From observing other videos and many NASA footages, I personally think the Sun is 'conscious' in the sense that whenever any objects go near it, it reacts and seems to react in a defensive manner by letting off CMEs towards the objects.

I'm seriously worried.

The most annoying truth is that our bloody governments or their own-funded "renowned scientists" and "experts" won't tell us jack because it will make them look stupid etc. Whatever the reason may be, we are all on our own. They don't give a penny about us.
