I'm just thankful we are seeing a quiet sun while this is taking place.
With the lack of technology, WWW accessibility, (and this thread !) during the last solar maximum 11 years ago, there is nothing to compare it to.
Hopefully the Magnetosphere beefs up as the solar activity heats up again.

Good morning all. hf

That's EXACTLY what I first thought... lol... just think of the possibilities... hahahahahaha...

Eve currently shows "cal maneuver" on their images. Evidently lots of calibratiom maneuvers take place up there...

Between different data sites being down, eclipses, and now "calibration maneuvers", they can pretty much manipulate any of the data we have to observe ...

Quoting "Between different data sites being down, eclipses, and now "calibration maneuvers", they can pretty much manipulate any of the data we have to observe ..."

So, on the one hand you think all data is manipulated. And yet on the other hand, you use TEC data to promulgate a stance that there's something amiss? You don't see a contradiction there?

I could say a lot more, for instance you saying the other day that this site is down...

[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]
[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

It's not. The next time it c-flares or even if it high b-flares for a bit, it will light up some.

I generally like what you post, but sweeping statements regarding data being withheld or fabricated, by you or anyone else, with out taking into consideration the realities of operating extremely complex equipment in a very hostile environment make me cringe, laugh and sometimes throw up a little bit.

Certainly wasn't intending on having you throw up a little.

It's my understanding that we are exposed to the sun's xrays daily, whether there is a flare or not, and is very much a constant within .1%, at least from what I've read [link to www.eoearth.org] from scientist. The idea that that this absorption map shows no variation is rather odd, and I can't say that I've ever seen it since I began watching it since March 2011.
Please, if you do see some even slight variation please post it, there are many times I'd prefer to be told I'm wrong on my observations, depending on circumstance and civility of course.
I'm here learning like most, I post my observations and/or concerns with hopes that someone can tell me why, if that's offensive to you on any level, just skip my posts. When Nin tells me to get off of her thread, or stop posting my observations, I'll comply.

The graphic you haven't seen any variation on since March 2011 was lit up like a candle during the recent x-flare. With the smaller flares it lights up within minutes and fades just as quickly so if you want to see it in action go to it very soon after the flare.

Skeptism is wisdom for sure, but casting aspersions on standard and necessary satellite maneuvers is not... proclaiming data losses due to eclipses being part of a conspiracy is not... and saying that DATA sites are down is just plain untrue.

Learning about this stuff rocks. Repeating non-factual statements does nothing to further the process.

Your enthusiam is admirable. Say whatever you want. So will I.

Can somebody confirm if we have entered the fluff? When I saw the solar activity in March I thought so but now I have my doubts.

During solar max , I thought we will be bombarded continuously with flares .Now looks like we are having a lull period as well. Have we reached the solar max or when are we supposed to reach?

and the mother of all gaps will be as these systems go off line FROM LACK OF FUNDING! as i said most of these projects are living on borrowed time...well over the project end date.
trying to point to the fact we as a civilation are more concerned with military might then space ventures, where will the moneys go.
if any of these satellites have a malfunction who will fix them...with the lack of any shuttle program.

this will create "the mother of all data gaps."

Fluff is stopping the solar cycle , causing it to slow way down. It depletes massive amounts of electrons.Slows conductivity tremendously. This is no joke
