Sunspot 1515 which is now about to rotate onto the western limb produced a strong M6.9 Solar Flare at 16:32 UTC Sunday afternoon. Because of the Sunspots location, any potential CME would be directed mostly away from Earth. More updates to follow. Only an M6.9 so wouldn't have been a big deal even if it was, apart from a nice lightshow up north. |
