xray flux down too, predictably. El Q has a good answer to this about the internal mechanisms of the sat being affected by the sun hitting parts of it while it rotates about the sun. the best explanation I've heard so far..

dam, I did that wrongly..

it was a beautiful day at the ski resort. got a little sunburn though. looks like the sun has been well behaved today. so what else is new?

spaceweather dot com sux, btw

glad to hear you had a good day out enjoying the sun and snow :)
We had a few CME's, one of them good sized
and a few flares here and there
photos of them posted earlier
beyond that it has been an uneventful day

The western edge of the ring has vented all it can. Now the pressure builds and the eastern edge has to give ..SNAP!
 Quoting: NervousNJerky

i agree
with all the activity on the western edge, the eastern edge has not come even close to equaling the release
something is going to pop
 Quoting: NiNzrez

if we use the analogy of earth being a self repairing capacitor
[link to www.thunderbolts.info]

we can imagine that the energy you detected last week flowing into our sun from the birkeland`s input and the signal of additional energy flow (pulse), thus increasing input of radiated energy from our sun into earth, over a short period, earth discharged excess energy to it`s need last thursdsy night/friday via a favored geographical region to discharge from

as the birkeland appears to have got over it`s excessive (for us) energy flow ,for the moment, the radiated energy from our sun, although high due to the birkeland (solar max), is staying within normal energy capacity within earth for normal discharges of energy points over the globe

that discharge in the far east reduced charge of the whole planet

the interesting part is it appears earth needs a greater capacity of charge then you recorded last week to discharge upon scale in locations other than the far east

the next event you have up coming is the "super" full moon on the 19th

if the birkeland runs a pulse through the sun to coincide with the 19th i imagine we may find the level of charge at which earth discharges east and west at scale rockon

maybe

ty, i like alex..

sc24
Solar Update - Solar activity remained at low levels on Sunday with only C-Class activity taking place. The largest flare of the day was a C6.7 around sunspot 1166. This region has shrunk in size but could still produce an M-Class flare as it heads towards the western limb. Sunspot 1169 is capable of producing C-Class flares. Once these regions rotate onto the western limb, solar activity may be quiet for a week or so as all active regions will be on the farside of the sun. That is ofcourse unless a new active region forms in the meantime.

if we expand on the above for the moment we detect that in the circumstances of our sun rapidly increasing radiated energy/information into our earth, earth has little choice but to discharge quick at scale, prompting traditional expression of how and where that motived discharge occurs

with our moon on the 19th we can imagine it different

if our sun stays "normal", our monthly full moon interaction of full moon effects of the 19th, within our suns radiated energy to earth will be more pronounced due to moons closer proximity to earth

a different "sensation" for earth than last week as the energy information source is our moon and earth will discharge anywhere over the globe dependent, on what the sensations of our moon prompt it to do

scale will be less then last week, in these circumstances but maybe a bit of a drama in the locations of discharge occurrence

we will discover if it fits your own discoveries

yes, pretty pics right?

sc24
Solar Wind Increase - The solar wind is at elevated levels above 600 km/s and this is due to an incoming coronal hole stream. There will be a chance for minor geomagnetic activity at very high latitudes.

The daily consensus has Region 1166 as decreased in both white light areal coverage and sunspot count with a Ekc type spot group and a beta-gamma magnetic classification. Region 1169 has maintained its area and spot count
and is a simple beta magnetic classification with a Cro type spot group.

III. Event Probabilities 14 Mar-16 Mar
Class M 40/20/20
Class X 05/01/01
Proton 01/01/01
PCAF green
