SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)

Well I guess they need to make further corrections then. As I said, when this CME reached us as an ICME the leading edge had a negative charge, as seen when the Bz swung - at onset, and should finished with a slight uptic to + Bz (in other words it is oriented - to + )indicating that it is from the northern hemisphere of the Sun. This is why we have had a decent storm with such a little amount of material(it made a good connection). The CME from late on the the 2nd into the 3rd was from the southern hemisphere and would be oriented + to -. That CME was not Earth directed, and any limited amount of material that would have swept past us would/and or did not make a good connection.

I guess I could end up being wrong...but I sure don't think so!

it shows the CME you mention totally missing us, and we all saw the big one from 1176 could be the source of both of the storms reported by noaa/nasa, being really one big storm, right?

The one at the 4 o`clock position just appears strange to me on SDO...wasn`t much of anything there except for a arc..and it looked like it just blasted out..didn`t look like a flare, fillament, just a arc...strange deal in my experience with watching the sun
