what do you make of the the blackout?
seeing that filament start to life then all info going black has me on edge
Quoting: NiNzrezAll I can say is that I am real tired of it. It is so typical that whenever something is going on be it a flare, CME, anything that we want to see, the instruments go off line. It really seems like they want to hold back all information until they have had a chance to analyze it first. im tired of it as well :/ STEREO started updating again here is the 1st image since the blackout [ link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] and a list of all since updates started back up [ link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] you can see there was a CME to the left side There sure was! And with the image being that dark, it may have been a big one. i was thinking the same exact thing! now if we can just a look at STEREO B and SOHO looks like the CME was earth directed, but so hard to be sure without seeing more :/
