normal... no
but its not bad
it looks like that because we have a bit of density and the Bz is very high
watch, and when you see the Bz fall, it will start to un tangle
once you see the Bz go into the red, that is when it starts to get bad

they had not been updating any of the SOHO photos all day
so i went to look on STEREO and guess what? haha last updated photo on A was at 14:54 4/11/11 and on B it was at 21:3e 9 4/11/11
it is now UTC Time 00:55:16 Tue 4/12/11
3hrs with no udates... again
That means NO looking on STEREO for this CME
this game is getting OLD!

look at the 2 oclock area
it is in a earth direction, but i will have to check the proxmity to be sure on just how much

well this storm from the CME on the 7th, being launched just about the equatorial plane of the Sun looks like it's field was mostly charged + to -(watching it on Stereo A, I figured it would be as it kicked out to the bottom of the "torch"on top of it), as the Bz has been generally +, so it hasn't pushed the kp to high. The next one of consequence looks to have been on the 9 th. The CME from the 9th was def from the northern hemisphere (of the Sun)and should be oriented - to + throwing the Bz - and kicking the kp up. Then there was what I believe was most likely a large fast moving front side CME between the hours of 4-10-2011 at 18:54 UTC, and 4-11-2011 at 3:39 UTC. These hours are missing from Stereo A. That is almost 9 hrs of missing data. There was definitly a CME during this time as you can still see the material leaving the camera view at 3:39 when Stereo A data comes back up. Having observed numerous CMEs on these Stereo images, for the expanse of the field that the material was scatterd over in this latest one, and because almost all of the material was "already " hurled away, and because the "torch" from where the material would have been hurled from was extinguished, I believe it was large. Full halo CME's can now be observed occuring with this "missing" event now on SOHO LC2, and 3.

They have not updated for this one. It will be interesting to see if they do. They flat out skiped over a couple recently. Makes me wonder if they are paying attention to what we are doing. I know they pay attention to tags with their name in it.
