Here....I created an animated gif from SOHO's C2 images of the CME today. SOHO is missing the data from the lift-off of this CME. At least SOHO has data, so I guess I won't complain....haha.

Here is another link....the mpeg starts in May 4th but keep an eye on May 9th 21:00 hr....awsome blast. But our earth is turning and will be facing the same active sun spot.....lets keep an eye on this one...

Well he was only a day out... this guy is pretty spot on with his predictions in conjuction with the sun activity..

Could everyone please watch the youtube video and look at the places he predicted... he was on the money and only out by about 12 hrs... MCQuarie Island had a 6.3.. the Islands above are just above the Kermadic Islands above NZ that he talks about.. I chilie also had EQ

I think we need to really pay attention to this guy in terms of the EQ solar activity connection

I don`t recall anything happening in the last few days that would cause this...perhaps something simular to this article...says the protons can actually get here in minutes from CME`s if located on the western limb because they are magnetically connected..The CME mostly blew out the eastern side of the sun but particles also released ont he west

yeah this one has me stumped
im digging through data
but i post any CME or Prominence lift off i see, no mater if its earth directed or not
i dont see anything we have on the 7th or 8th
looking on the 6th now....
maybe i missed something...?

Watch SDO...when the big CME lifts off the eastern limb look down at the southwestern limb..you can see a small prominence lift off...on LASCO2 you can see the blast out the western side....if ya read that link it states the sw limb has a area makes us vulnerable to "fast attacks"..or something has been covered up---or we just had a blast and it the info isn`t available yet??

Most people are unaware that we have no understanding of how lightning is created in clouds. The simplest answer is that lightning is not generated there at all. Clouds merely form a convenient path to Earth for electricity originating in space. Without clouds it is possible to have a "bolt from the blue". the cme yesterday was not earth directed. BUT...
this CME was on the left of the sun
the planets are all aligned on the right of the sun...

what if the planet alignment held enough magnetic pull to pull the CME particles in our direction? and do it with such a pull that we are right now seeing yesterdays CME arrive here... hmmmm what a fablous thought within physics

Would be rare to happen, but IS possible within the laws of physics. if the magnetic pull on the opposite side was strong enough. but this is alarming if indeed it is whats going on. If true, then watch for even larger quakes, cause that is some damn strong magnetic pull!

Sickscent actually posted a article on what you are talking about not long ago--The CME can actually change it`s direction in space..I will dig for the article and see if I can find it..something really strange about this one..coming in waves..drastic ups and downs in density

Welcome.. I meant to add that they have the two listed still as does the global incident map.. I dont know why the other one would have removed one of them.. but my two sites are still showing two.. 6.8 and 7.1 approximately 3 seconds appart and at different depths.. so i think there were definately two and one has been removed on what ever site you were looking at Nin..

Off to bed, hopefully wont be woken up by the tsunami alert text tonight :(... (sunshine coast, east oz.. just off a direct line from these EQs)

One good thing though for us but not for new caledonia is that they are between us and where these are hitting, however as my hubby said.. a big one like the japan one or bigger would probably push over or around NC as its pretty much at sea level.. ahh the joys of coastal living...
