We have a storm with a - Bz, that causes our "shield" to be wide open so they are in effect "down". The charge of this CME is - to + so it is connecting well.

Well you should be in luck then! If things continue on as is...by night you should be able to see them, and we want a report. :)

it is when we are being blasted by an earth directed cme, we have definitely seen worse but this one is pretty strong..

anybody have an update??

I have been up since really early, and had a long day with my kids out doing fun stuff. I had just came in and thought it was around the time the storm might hit so thought I would check and saw that it was. I am too tired myself today to babysit a thread of my own

Latest 4 hr prediction in kp is 7.3, and we are heading in that direction.

There were two spikes on the plasma temperature reading from ACE on NICT that went over 1x10 to the 8. That means over 100 million Kelvin.....crispy! :p

yep, looks like a g3 on the way, time for some transformers to start popping..

It lit up yesterday morning. Has really taken off in the last 7 hours. Didn't see this much activity leading up to March 11.

I have been watching it the last couple of days as well..and it has been active....the following site gets really active when HAARP does also. As a matter of fact I just checked it and it's going nuts. Very interesting.
