sunspot region 1236 is looking active today
and its within a direct proximity to earth
lets keep an eye open for some activity there today

Big active region 11236 is crackling with M-class solar flares. This newly numbered region has turned the north-eastern limb and looks like it may produce more strong category flares in the coming days.

A coronal mass ejection (CME) billowed away from the suns east limb on June 14th. Around 0810UT, a magnetic filament on the suns eastern limb become unstable and erupted. The resulting blast hurled a bright CME into space. This expanding cloud could deliver a glancing blow to the earths magnetic field June 17-18 time frame

So NASA, the ones who 'people' say they wouldn't believe a word they uttered, have been the ones 'predicting' Solar Doom. These are the same 'They' that have been pushing Global Warming BTW.
The 'They' mentioned at the AAS meeting, that talked about the disappearing sunspots and weakening Solar Cycle, are three separate research groups NOT AFFILIATED WITH NASA.

It would appear that the people here are more willing to accept NASA's view of Solar Doom than the view offered by the 3 independent groups who have had an opposing view for quite some time. Excuse me,

Enceladus joins other celestial objects that produce "magnetic bubbles."

In a recent Picture of the Day, the so-called "bubbles" of magnetism supposedly found by the Voyager spacecraft at the boundary where the Sun's heliosphere meets the ISM (interstellar medium) were explained as Langmuir sheaths, or electrically charged double layers in plasma. Since the bubbles are thought to be elongated, it was suggested that the electron flux variations detected by the twin Voyagers probably indicate filaments of electricity called Birkeland currents.

Similar electromagnetic structures are seen around Earth, on Venus, on the various gas giant planets, and within and surrounding galaxies. All of these phenomena share a common characteristic: they are all manifestations of electricity flowing through plasma.

"Bubbles" of magnetic energy are said to surround the Sun's heliosheath.

Voyager 1 encountered the heliosheath in December 2004, followed by Voyager 2 in August 2007. It was Voyager 1 that first detected fluctuations in the electron count as it traveled through the heliosphere, while Voyager 2 made similar observations later in 2008.

Since NASA's computer model of the heliosphere works only if the readings are assumed to come from flying in and out of the aforementioned bubbles, some means for their creation had to be concocted. Enter stage left, the old tried and true, magnetic reconnection

Supposedly there is a consortium of scientists meeting in New Mexico starting today. Tomorrow they are to come out with an announcement on the CME's we've been having... A previous report on CNN said the CME's aren't as bad as they thought, Ya I'll believe them.....

Is there anything hitting us today from the last few days? i have woken up with one those strange headaches that Im starting to equate with weather and cme's.. have been trying to make note of the different ones i get, and usually there is a post saying we had one that correlates, however either its something else or I missed the post..
