I'm pretty surprised to see that the double CME we just got hit with hasn't generated more frequent or sizable quakes. However, I'm keeping an eye out for increased volcanic activity in the next week or so...
That sort of brings it back to planetary +/- Elenin alignments... at least for me it does.

Take a look at how closely Earth, Mercury, the sun and Venus are aligned starting around August 14th (aligned on the 17th or so) and click through till you get to the 21st... Looks like an Elenin, Mercury and Jupiter alignment at the same time as Venus, Sun and Earth alignment.
The Elenin, Earth and Sun alignments coinciding with some of of the worlds largest historical earthquakes can't be coincidence. And now the Coma is over 200k km? The story unfolds it seems...

I actually just noticed a trend for powerful quakes in Indonesia during Earth, Venus and Mercury alignments... Too much to print here, I'll start a new thread and post...

Don't know, but the possibilities are there. Hate to say it, but sorta makes sense.

Space weather scientists in the US are having worry lines all over their faces because of the continuously occurring solar storms. Last week, they observed three moderate explosions rock the solar surface and the storms are not looking like they are fading away. So the weathermen are being a little cautious and the scientists have warned the citizens that this extra terrestrial activity may cause some disruptions for the telecommunication, power and satellite users. The power companies are preparing and readying their backups in case of any major disturbances created by these magnetic storms. Scientists and engineers at U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space Weather Prediction Center believe that these storms will be within moderate to high intensity level.

I have seen no tail on this thing (elenin) what if it is really 200,000 km across (bigger than Jupiter) and TPTB pull a "We didn't know it wasn't a comet" BS on us?

The magnetic storm that has been developing on the Sun's surface may cause problems down here on Earth soon. Reuters reports that above average solar activity is proving to be a real concern for the Space Weather Prediction Center. They warn that communications and GPS satellites could be affected and are asking that users who rely on these systems prepare for "possible disruptions." Users who rely on these systems include you and everyone you know.
Space weather scientist Joseph Kunches says, "The magnetic storm that is soon to develop probably will be in the moderate to strong level." Power grids have been known to go out due to these types of storms, so power companies are on alert and may shut down some operations if they receive a warning from the Space Weather Prediction Center.

i am expecting a big quake sometime before morning
if there is not one, then we have to look at other formulas to the equation beyond looking at CME's being a "main" culperate
guess we have to wait a sek more to see

August 13 - Full Moon. The Moon will be directly opposite the Earth from the Sun and will be fully illuminated as seen from Earth. This phase occurs at 18:57 UTC. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Sturgeon Moon because the large sturgeon fish of the Great Lakes and other major lakes were more easily caught at this time of year. This moon has also been known as the Green Corn Moon and the Grain Moon.

Japan's March 11 Earthquake Almost Shook Space - Vibrations from the devastating earthquake that hit Japan in March 2011 almost reached outer space, a new study has revealed. The vibrations from the Japan quake and tsunami waves traveled towards the upper atmosphere, the ionosphere, where they were amplified to thousands of times their original sizes. The velocity and the magnitude of the atmospheric disturbance have not yet been revealed but the earthquake and the following tsunami caused THE BIGGEST SUCH PHENOMENON EVER.
Such a trend has also been observed during other massive earthquakes in the world. On December 26, 2004, the 9.3 magnitude Sumatra earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean excited “giant” disturbances in the ionosphere, according to the journal’s report in 2006. Two giant ionospheric disturbances were observed in Taiwan. The first disturbance resulted in vertical ionospheric fluctuations with a maximum velocity of about 70 meters per second. The second disturbance, propagating at a horizontal speed of over 300 meters per second, was caused due to coupling of the atmospheric gravity waves with the tsunami waves.

The Kamchatka Peninsula, along Russia’s Pacific coast, is currently the most volcanically active area in the world: four volcanoes are erupting simultaneously, and a fifth is showing signs of an impending eruption.

i have people left and right today mailing me asking about this coming solar storm, why i dont have pics or video of the solar events, why i gave no heads up on it, asking how bad it's going to be. people assuming it will be bad from what the articles are saying :/

Wow...I just got on here, and I see this discussion. (and the rest of it. Talk about getting the chills. Kinda of lame of the gov, MSM, TPTB, or whomever to wait until after the fact to say the storm is coming.


Perhaps this is so they can say, "Look, it happened. No big deal. Nothing happened. Carry on and no worries."? Meanwhile, those of us who have been watching know this event has already past before they announced it. So the rest of the world goes on feeling all safe and protected..
