No problem! Unfortunately I was near the mountains that night without much of a viewpoint & cloudy skies prior to bedtime. Hopefully sometime soon I will catch them in this solar cycle.

Yeah, I'd say so. I'm in St. Clair Shores like 500ft from the lake. I'm not sure you could convince me to live in Flint after hearing about how the crime is getting in some of the areas and with them cutting the # of cops.

yeah. Just checking the diff ways to collect water in the desert myself. We know where to go, but so does everyone else. Too crazy if grid goes down. Everyone should have a plan and a couple of backups too. I think most on here do.

If it ever gets to that point (not sure what that point is....but I think you'd
know it when it arrived)....I wouldn't stay here.

please please do keep in mind that if grids go down, we do not go back to the 1800's
we can never go back to the 1800's
because back then, we did not have nuke plants
They all depend on electric to keep them cooled
we saw what happened at Fukishima
grids going down in the USA would equal 1000 Fukashimas
all at once
learn where your nearest nuke plants are
Learn wind parrtens
cause if grids do go down for any reason, we will need to stay as deep indoors as we can on days the winds are blowing over us directly from the closest nuke plants

NIN I am in Kalamazoo and I know their is a Nuc plant not far off, do you think you and I would be ok? here in Michigan?

Thats true the nukes would kill us. Can't they use gas generators to cool and close or forget it they can't cool the fuel rods cuz the fusion, they just keep producing? Isn't there a cooling system?? I thought if the Tsunami hadn't killed the generators, they could of cooled the rods? I think someone would have to use the generators with gas or propane and keep the rods cool until the fision, rods, whatever are spent and they could bury them. I don't believe that we could not do that, or they could never close a nuke plant. What say you. Maybe one of our military divisons would be in charge of this?? What say you.

i look forward to the grids going down and the new start, but do not look forward to the new troubles it would bring
hard to tell

you could cool them with a generator, but only for so long
no electric means no gas
cause all gas pumps are ran on electric

but for personal use, you can take the cap off the main gas tank in the ground at the gas stations, like they do to fill it, and using a garden hose and a tire pump, get the gas out so you have gas for yourself

Yeah that's good info. I think they could cool the nuke plants. If it would save the world, and it is that serious. The military uses shit and big generators to pump gas out in the midd of nowhere. This is possible no?? To save the planet?? I never liked nuke power anyway, but no one cares what we think anyway, It's always follow the money and power game for the megalomaniacs. Well sorry to get so far off track but it does relate in the power grid situation anyway. I should get a gieger counter of some sort.
