There's some polarity intermixing [link to www.solen.info] on SDO this morning, we can see this intermixing with some connectivity going on in the whole region of 1277 and 1282 the north polar coronal hole is almost gone again. [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] a strong indicator that we will start seeing large activity of flares and CMEs starting again. They were 1282, 1283 and 1284. The most interesting of these three groups is 1281. This group looks the best group to produce any C class solar flares. This group produced a C5 flare peaking at 2246z yesterday. Region 1284 emerged close to the south-west limb. Further there is a active region behind the south-east limb that should rotate into view during the next 48 hours. The magnetic field also acts as a protective barrier between us and some of the dangers of space, shielding us from radiation in the solar wind. The Earth’s magnetic field has been steadily weakening over the past 180 years. And there is one patch that is weakening faster than any other. It is an area scientists have dubbed the “South Atlantic Anomaly“, which sits over the South Atlantic and the centre of South America. ReadMore: [link to theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com] |
