Stock up water, water, and more water... unless you have easy access to clean river, lake, etc. Propane tanks.... get lots of those filled up... outdoor grilling for awhile ......... and heat. I have a small scooter inside a box i think i have made EMP proof.... and have stored gasoline for it. I have lots of guns and ammo for hunting and self defense. Worse place to be is a big city.... Hey Gab could this be the event you were referring to on ya EQ thread?? remember i said its all about the timing.... 3 flares with CME's , massive coronal hole with solar winds, Comet elenin at its nearest to the sun and massive sun spot 1859 coming around the corner....... Could be... i'm ready to get it over with. sunspot 1859... Hmmmm, Carrington event anyone ? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1538377 i wonder how many lives could be saved from a minimum danger alert I agree. We are advanced enough to know this is unusual for our short archive of understanding, and yet, the practice would be helpful, and if its real, the awareness might save many. If you don't mind me asking. We think on the same level. Quoting: El Quisqueyano I wanted to get back to you. I'm old enough to remember when the boxing day Tsunami came through.... I made a mistake. I thought I would not make a nuisance out of myself by calling authorities in the various countries and warning them that they must be immediately prepared for a major Tsunami after the major quake.....hours later 250,000 people perished....my mistake. The countries around did not have enough experience....the hotels, the tourists, the residents..... I think I could have saved lives because I was old enough to know about Tsunami behavior....even calling one hotel...my mistake. and let me add, my friend, you already know my respect for your intelligence, humanity and innovative technological adaptations. Through honesty, we make peace. |

Earth is that tiny blue dot in the botton right section) with this image, we can see how easy it would be for a CME to go north or south of earth, or hit directly this also puts into prospective just how bad these CMEs have the potential of being I don't feel so good anymore.... thanks! |

Actually, I can't agree with just letting your electronics go to waste. Even if YOU can't use them because the power is out, just imagine how much even a normal everyday computer will be worth when every computer in the country if fried except YOURS. Working computers and computer components will be worth quite a bit while the world is rebuilding and trying to replace all the electronics that were lost. Even if you only end up trading them for food/water its worth the effort. |

In your home a grounded metal trash can, will work a solar blanket over your electronics, with a allagator clip attached to a wire that leads to ground. Could somebody with a tin roof literally coat their home in tin foil and attach a wire into the ground? Like my tin roof is up thurr.. then I do aluminum foil over my brick.. ?? haha |

To protect from above is essential. Make a ground from your roof, and any thing under the should be protected. If you provide a ground for your vehicle it should be OK. What fresh solar solar doom are you talking about? It will take me a couple of days to get through all this. Z Sorry been on the phone. :) Sunspot 1283 blew two X flares after an M class flare on Tuesday. CME's are on the way with this weekend being a target for the arrival. Seems to be a concern about the 11th, and what that may indicate for a false flag operation, or just the creepy factor overall. Some contend that the CME's will combine for a possible Carrington Event, and/or what the interstellar magnetized dust cloud may do to enhance the situation in general. I think that is it for the most part. Perfer et Obdura;Dolor hic tibi proderit olim.Fortes Fortuna Iuvat! (Be Patient & Strong; someday this pain will be useful to you. Fortune favors the brave) |

aether User ID: 1412926 United Kingdom 09/08/2011 05:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | feed back Earthquakes and Volcanoes Sep 08, 2011 Lightning discharges in the atmosphere are familiar, but what about the ones underground? Quoting: scienceThe electrical phenomenon we call lightning is not well understood. The most common interpretation involves the circulation of water vapor up and down through clouds in a process called convection. Water is heated by the Sun until it evaporates, rising into the air where it collects into clouds. The water vapor continues to rise higher and higher, finally cooling enough to condense back into liquid. Earth's gravity then pulls it back to the surface where the cycle repeats. According to consensus opinions, water droplets tend to collide during convection, knocking electrons off one another, creating a charge separation. Electrons accumulate in the lower portion of the cloud, where it acquires a negative charge. As the droplets that have lost an electron continue to rise, they carry a positive charge into the top of the cloud. The regions of charge differential, or charge separation, cause an electric field to form between them, with a strength directly proportional to the amount of charge in the cloud. The electric field can become so powerful that it repels electrons in the Earth's surface, forcing it to become positively charged. A conductive pathway between the two regions can initiate a lighting leader stroke that eventually connects with some positive streamer rising from the ground. Such a process cannot explain volcanic lightning. Most planetary scientists assume that the cause is similar, but there is no experimental evidence to confirm the idea. Over the last two hundred years of reporting, lightning has been seen in the ash clouds spewing from numerous volcanic eruptions. Gigantic branching displays were photographed during the Mt. Chaiten eruption in May of 2008. There were reports of ball lightning bigger than beach balls rolling along the ground when Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1981. Eyjafjallajökull produced flashes that lit up the sky for many kilometers. Large "telluric currents" have been found circulating through Earth's crust because our magnetic field induces current flow in conductive strata. Thousands of amperes flow beneath the surface, varying according to conductivity. Since the Sun can affect Earth's magnetic field through geomagnetic storms, fluctuations in telluric currents can occur when there is an increase in sunspots or solar flares, because they create oscillations in the ionosphere....................cont. aether User ID: 1412926 United Kingdom 09/08/2011 05:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dark matter hinted at again at Cresst experiment 7th Sept 2011 Scientists may have seen more hints of the dark matter purported to make up a majority of the mass in the Universe. Quoting: scienceEarlier in 2011, the Cogent experiment reported that the events that they see vary each year with the seasons - exactly as the Dama facility found in 2010. That is consistent with the idea that as our Solar System moves through the dark matter halo surrounding our Galaxy, the Earth is sometimes moving with and sometimes against this current of dark matter. [link to www.bbc.co.uk] I am utterly confused by this statement. How is a seasonal fluctuation anything to do with something surrounding our galaxy? If the dark matter is inside our galaxy such that our solar system moves through it how is it supposed to explain galaxy rotation curves by being outside the galaxy??? Quoting: observationNotice too that dark matter now flows in currents. Like electricity, for example |
