trivia Amateur astronomer Michael Mattiazzo of Castlemaine, Australia caught these two images of comet Elenin on Aug. 19 (left) and Sept. 6, 2011. The images show a rapid dimming in the comet, possibly hinting at its disintegration. Quoting: observation [ link to www.space.com] looking at those pics with this in mind: the passage of Elenin Quoting: bowmanwhether elenin does a comet holmes is dependent on the conditions of our solar wind at the time of elenin`s presence essentially elenin either continues to move in dark glow mode (plasma term) or glow mode, either/or is caused by it`s environment which, whist in our solar system, is predominantly our solar wind an effect (glow/dark) governed by content and intensity of our solar radiation (wind) the right geomagnetic storm at the right location (time) and elenin glows Quoting: aether out of glow mode does not always equal disintegration
