The proton flux, I know the red moves but I have never seen the others do much. Answer is much appreciated. Would not worry to much about your car none of the wires in your car have enough length to capture any voltage that would harm your car. Only exception might be a computer chip, I recommend getting the Janes manual on you car and keep it handy. It will have diagrams which would show you how you could bypass the computer. Better yet get a pre 1982 vehicle to keep stored..... They can be had cheap.... I have a 1981 1 ton Ford that I made a Mad Max machine.... The Bz turned south on impact, a hopeful sign for geomagnetic storming. Based on total magnetic field and solar wind speed there will likely be an opportunity for aurora sightings anywhere from the U.S border northwards, possibly some of the northern U.S states as well. Likely peak kp of 6, possibly a 7 if Bz assumes a dominant southward direction. Europe will miss out on this one. ok, now...
