SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)

Yep and I can`t never understand how our luck keeps running.....what influences this...something sure seems to control it..perhaps the earth/sun magnetic connection sompared to say like the sun /jupiter connection...I don`t know but I find it awful strange how the big CMEs continuely miss us...

Let`s see if the flux drops below the level it was at before the C class started...looks to me like it was ramping up..

we did juts have a filament lift off from the southwestern area of the solar disk
nothing showing on STEREO but it is on there on SDO

sit back and have a cup of coffee with us
always hard to tell what it's planning on doing

The flux chart is leveling outand showing a upward movement again..the baseline is definately rising and this first C could just be the start of todays fireworks..

they are questioning if this is solar related

Sol I know you've had a real public image problem in the doom community. I'm afraid your loosing your street cred... I mean face it you really haven't had a real hit since the Carrington Event... Sure you pop a satellite here and there and even throw down some rad disco lights but your becoming yesterday's news.... So what do you say we layout a comeback tour! Yep just stroll in with a couple LDE M flares then through down a double X10 LDE, then drop down te beat and bammm grand finale X28 right in center stage! This would put you back on top of the charts my friend....,

Any event today from region 1302 would be Earth directed

Region 11302 [N13W06] has a magnetic delta structure in the southeastern part of the main penumbra. There are signs of fragmentation both in the leader and trailing penumbra.

Region 1302 remains a beta-gamma-delta structure capable of producing a major flare

AR1302 has quieted down since unleashing dual X-flares on Sept. 22nd and 24th. Nevertheless, NOAA forecasters estimate a 25% chance of more X-flares during the next 24 hours. Any such eruptions would be Earth-directed as the sunspot crosses the center of the solar disk

Sunspot 1302 is beginning to decay but still poses a threat for X-class solar flares.

Asteroid News from WISE
10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT) on Thurs., Sept. 29

NASA will hold a news conference to reveal near-Earth asteroid findings and implications for future research. The briefing will take place at NASA Headquarters in Washington.

NASA’s Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission, launched in December 2009, captured millions of images of galaxies and objects in space. During the news conference, panelists will discuss results from an enhancement of WISE called Near-Earth Object WISE (NEOWISE) that hunted for asteroid

hey NIN I remember reading back you lost power for some time... me too for about 2 weeks on and off a few times!

sometimes it was just my block and people across the street had power.. each and every time I lost power I sent a text out to a friend of mine to go on line look it up for power failure in my area.. each time it wasn't documented..

only makes me think there has been more power outages all over the place and they are not reporting it so people don't panic.

By the time I saw the above post and realized I had forgotten it, went to nasa.gov and got connected it was almost 25 mins. into the broadcast. Then a minute later someone asked a question about "Planet X". And right then and there my internet connection went down. Took a few minutes to get back up. I really wanted to hear the answer to that question. So, I missed just about the whole thing. Did anyone see it that can give me a little summary, in a nut-shell? Can't believe I forgot about it. I really wanted to see it.

That puppet is a heck of alot smarter than any of us..lol...Personally I like what he has to say...at least he doesn`t beat around the bush...Puppet or not---what he said is true
