SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)

This is the largest CME I have ever seen. Is it earth directed? WHen you are looking at LASCO C2, what part of th screen faces Earth?

Scary!! So how many of these are a direct hit? Is the latest one that is not confirmed yet look to be a direct hit? Also how long has the one from earlier today been erupting for?

So i assume nothing bad happen...

i decided to go back over the images of the CMEs from earlier today
quite amazing what i found
there was infact 3 CMEs from 3 separate sunspot regions.
All 3 CMEs happened simultaneously directly after the the M1.0 that we had today

* here we can see a smaller CME from the directly facing sunspot region 1305 (in the middle. harder to see the CME because of the direct view)

* a large CME from sunspot region 1302 that is hard to miss.
(1302 is just to the right side of 1305)

* and yet 1 more CME.....
this one is off far to the west limb from sunspot region 1301

this makes the total of 3 CMEs that all occurred at the same time

Edit: i would have used todays image from solen to show the sunspot regions were talking about here, but they mistakenly labled region 1302 as region 1305

the real 1305 is the one to the left

If the comet actually hit the sun, it would seem to indicate that the sun is not as dense as it would seem, and the comet actually passes mostly through the suns entire mass before causing the CME eruption on the backside of entry.

but we would not expect a flare with the comet impact
we need to watch for a CME

Do not trust any of the info coming from satellites. They have been adjusted and or [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] down. Info you are seeing ie.. is not showing true info

We truly are at their mercy for accurate info.

I can't find the impact of the comet on any of the Lasco Movies. Lasco is not even displaying anything for the 1st of October. Maybe Stereo shows it?
