The M3.9 is the strongest flare in the past 5 or 6 days. Here's a SDO movie of the double-whammy CME earlier today-A stong C flare from 1302 and a M1.2 from 1305. [ link to sdowww.lmsal.com] No CME though? What does the flare do to earth? I know how the CME can effect us but not sure on the flares. Sorry folks but you've got herself a beginner here. If anyone wants to reccomend some sites to teach me how to read come of these charts feel free. Especially this group. [ link to www2.nict.go.jp]
