Great thread guys! Kinda new here but I really enjoy and appreciate all the work you guys put in this! I have never seen the magnetosphere like that either! [ link to imageshack.us] I've heard(in some other post on here) that the last time it looked like that was right before the Japan quake. I don't know if it has any substance... just passing along what I've heard/seen. It also could be completely normal. I haven't been watching that long. Very cool though. There were just 2 quakes at "Reykjanes Ridge" about 15 minutes apart... interesting. [ link to earthquake.usgs.gov]
