Comet ELENIN, Rest In Peace. The verdict is in: alas, Elenin is no more. Comet c/2010 X1-Elenin has not been seen since mid-August when it was shown to be disintegrating from a solar blast. New photos show absolutely nothing at all where the comet was projected to be at its closest approach to Earth. Nada-Zilch-Nothin'. Maybe that meteor I saw was a grain of Elenin-dust, lpl.
