The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to active on March 3 due to effects from CH505, becoming quiet to unsettled on March 4 and quiet on March 5

Weird stuff, too bad there's no links to explain/interpret data. We're not supposed to see these....you need to be initiated and learn the secret handshakes first, LOL. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the basics: when it comes to HAARP, Ionospheric irregularities, RF propagation, etc. I admit I'm in over my head. I prefer the astronomical /solar observation part of the space weather equation.

It's been going south most of time since that "solar-sector-boundary-crossing". Kp=1, so not much happening SW-wise, but the open magnetic field lines allow lots of charged particles in to charge up the magnetosphere. It won't take much to spark up some auroras if the CH winds hit us.

Here's the 7-Day ACE Mag-SW chart, you can see it's mostly south since 3/1.

A strange cone of plasma is suspended over the BIG SPOT. It looks like an inverted tornado.

Amazing Arcs at a very low Angle!

See the dramatic bend in the larger Arc just above to the Right that goes over the Limb!?

Yeah, I've never seen anything like it. I don't know if this is the result of earlier flare or if it's building up to pop off a BIG BLAST.

Hugh- Why do we get this "Mid lat Aurora" now on a daily basis.. Is this normal?what are the effects of this on earth.

The electron flux has been following this basic pattern for over twelve years now

In case you didn't notice, what were minor events in the last solar cycle are now causing magnified results. This is due to the solar system entering a gradually denser area of plasma concentrated at the ecliptic plane. The 'fireballs' NASA has been going on about are simply plasmas brought together by electrostatic forces.

I predicted this over 8 years ago. The information is till trapped in cyberspace though it was systematically deleted by this and other websites on order of federal officials.

Magnetic lines may be intersecting the Earths surface at mid latitudes.

Hi, the alerts/warnings have been primarily high latitudes (65 degrees) also known as the auroral oval. Things have been a little more energetic than usual due to Bz magnetic component being predominantly south for a few days. This opens up the magnetosphere to more direct connection to the solar winds' interplanetary magnetic field (IMF). Unless you live in the Arctic or Antarctic, there's no noticeable effects. There's always a chance that certain satellites could be affected by prolonged or extreme radiation exposure. As solar maximum ramps up we may see some much bigger geo-magnetic storms. When the Kp reaches 7, 8 or 9 it will be time to pay close attention. A Kp of 4 isn't even a storm level event.

Your 'find' is one Ive never seen and actually shows the magnetosphere making contact with the surface of the planet at nearly all latitudes. During times such as this people should be sheltering. The protons in lower ionosphere have energies in excess of 4 million electron volts and flux densities exceeding the millions of particles per cubic centimeter per second. This can be fatal, and is especially dangerous if you are in a metal container such as a car or building with a metal roof. Read up on it here and elsewhere:
