Could some one explain to me why, with all these flares popping from the Sun, it's so quiet as far as electrical disturbances are concerned? The atmosphere is so clear, right now, of static. The less static in the air the less electron proton activity there is. I just don't understand this, with all the Sun activity you figure there would be great amount of static, lot's of radio blackout. But it appears to be having the opposite effect today. Why?

This would also explain why it's only effecting satellites at the moment? Could also better protect our atmosphere from the Fluff? or, the magnetosphere is in not so great condition and is not catching the electrons in the belts as it usualy does
