Uh-oh! I just realized the ACE satellite is offline again--just like the last PROTON STORM in January. This is not good. Our two most important solar satellites are both orbiting in the L1 orbit (1 million miles out). SOHO & ACE (Advance Composition Explorer) are both very old-age by satellite standards and the entire planet is now reliant on them for real-time crucial data. If ACE goes down, it's like we had an eye poked out....and if SOHO goes down, too, it's like the "Moe Howard double-eye-poke" (ouch!) Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

The problem is....ALL of our most advanced space weather prediction models are based on the ACE data stream. AND, all of our most advanced CME models are based on the SOHO imagery. I was astounded when I looked into this, but even Russia and China base all of their space weather forecasts on NOAA and NASA data. This is what proved to me once and for all we have a NEW WORLD ORDER; when I realized that Chinese and Russian military/spy satellites are openly using the space assets paid for by the American taxpayers!!!!

My point is....if the ACE data stops or is corrupted (and to a lesser extent, SOHO), we'll be like a blind man in the dark with feeler-stick. The NICT simulation and the bow-shock simulation are completely dependent on up-to-date ACE sensor data.
