Predicted Geomagnetic Activity Index using Wing Kp Model is down and there is no excuse for that. These readings are based on ground based magnetometers. [ link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] It really makes no sense. If they are attempting to prevent mass chaos, it's unnecessary. No one is even paying attention out there regardless of how much (or little) data they allow those that are interested to see. We went for dinner at a local bar last night, and they had a report about this on the news there. Everyone just watched, made a couple of ignorant comments and went on to whatever they were talking about before. Who are they hiding this from ?? And what is the point of such equipment if it isn't used when needed most ?? Good points---- I just love watching CNN and FOX talking about--they always end with "pretty lights...perhaps the storm has affected it??? They do know a lot of us are becoming more aware of the sun`s power and what it could do to our way of life so who knows...if it ever does get bad there won`t be no hiding when obvious things start happening..Us suntards will know what`s up
