El Quisqueyano User ID: 12094494 United States 03/10/2012 01:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | cool, but is not very localized the measuring facility? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12277394 seems theres a satellite launch TwinSat to measure such energy anyway in case you get signals let us know :) [link to www.ucl.ac.uk] TwinSat Twin Sat in orbit TwinSat is a proposed Russia-UK mission to study earthquake precursor signals. There is now a body of evidence to indicate that coupling occurs between the Lithosphere-Atmosphere-Ionosphere prior to earthquake events. Nevertheless the physics of these phenomena and the possibilities of their use as part of an earthquake early warning system remain poorly understood. TwinSat is proposed to create much greater understanding in this area through the deployment of a dedicated space asset along with coordinated ground stations, modelling and the creation of a highly accessible database. The space element would comprise two co-orbiting spacecraft (TwinSat) involving a microsatellite (Russia) and a nanosatellite (UK), each including a suite of science instruments appropriate to this study. Over a mission duration of 3 years ~ 400 earthquakes in the range 6-6.9 on the Richter scale would be ‘observed’. Ultimately such a programme is a prerequisite for an effective earthquake early warning system what do the antennas measure? earth based emission? or solar? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12277394 is there more info someplace i dont want to bother u Antenna array with big "T" antenna and 2 E/W, N/S oriented induction coils all based in a remote area of France. I use spectrum program to analyze the signals. Quoting: El Quisqueyano It is set up with ULF amp to detect Earth based emissions, such as Electromagnetic discharge from pressure build up. Those electromagnetic discharge are the precursor to impending earthquakes. When will it be launched? |

Hugh M Eye User ID: 12282348 United States 03/10/2012 01:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This one's gonna be BIG! If you slow down the movie you can see a flash of a CME and a wave of a solar tsunami. I NEVER see CMEs in the H-alpha wavelength. Also, it's plain to see the C8 from 1430 just prior to this flare. The tsunami wave went south and the filament is still there (for now) to the north. Self-updating movie loop: [link to halpha.nso.edu] :SSBeast: |

I'm not sure, but I believe that CME may be from the C8 flare which acted as a trigger for the big one. We should see a massive CME soon IMO. Bronze seems to show temporary holes forming adjacent to both 1430 and 1429 (as they fire?). Plus it looks like a wave rolled rightward to the right of them prior to firing off. |
