I'm not sure what causes that spherical shape in the SE corona. It must be somehow connected to that filament's magnetic field. It's very interesting to be sure.

I'm not sure if it's related, but there's a large coronal hole stretching across the equatorial latitudes. This will be interesting to observe as it turns toward Earth.

I noticed none of the peeps here touching on those videos LOL

On those video's looks like that something round was sucking the sun energy, may be I'm wrong.

Have no where near the knowledge ANY of you have on this topic.....I am a good reader. Several have mentioned a "cloud" and many regular posters have brought up debris, things bumping into each other and so forth. Is there a possibility that whatever "unknown" this is may be part of the debris in the cloud??

CME IMPACT (MORE TO COME): An interplanetary shock wave buffeted Earth's magnetic field on March 11th at 11:59 UT. It was probably the first of two CMEs expected to arrive today. The impact did not spark a strong geomagnetic storm, but it did cause significantly elevated electron counts in Earth's outer radiation belt. Analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab say that "spacecraft in orbits passing through or in the vicinity of Earth's outer radiation belt [could be affected]." The Anomalous Transport Rocket Experiment (ATREX) is a Heliophysics sounding rocket mission that will gather information needed to better understand the process responsible for the high-altitude jet stream located 60 to 65 miles above the surface of the Earth.

Skywatchers along the East Coast may be able to see a NASA experiment that will launch a series of rockets to learn more about the little-understood jet stream winds that circle the Earth at the edge of space.

On a clear night between March 14 and April 4, NASA plans to launch five rockets in five minutes from its Wallops Island facility in coastal Virginia.

Each rocket will release a chemical leaving a long, milky-white cloud to track the winds that scientists will monitor from cameras on the coasts of North Carolina, Virginia and New Jersey.

From the looks and shape of the Vortex, I can safely say it is coming from within the Sun. Not into the Sun. So it could be a Vortex tornado and what we see at the very top is the expansion of this vortex? Like the top clouds in a Tornado?

No Distinct Sign of Incoming CME
The Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) that was expected to sweep past Earth has yet to arrive. There has been no distinct sign on the ACE Spacecraft data. The expanding plasma cloud is either slower than anticipated or the majority of the cloud may have missed Earth. Continue to monitor the ACE Spacecraft data for indications of a possible impact.

UPDATE The solar wind has shown a very slow and gradual increase this afternoon to near 500 km/s. The Bz component of the IMF has ranged from +4 nT North to -7 nT South. I will continue to monitor conditions as the afternoon progresses.

The 'Tornado' appears very static compared to all the other events surrounding it,I've not been around for the last Two Days and missed all the crazy Solar-Geo-Space action.

Is the Sphere looking object really there or is it just a cooler area of matter!?



In the above video it does almost look as though the CME travels around the apparent Sphere,I'm not sure what to make of this.
