Looks like the magneopause has flipped!

the nict gets all it's info from ACE
whenever ACE goes offline, the nict info stops updating
nict only starts working again once ACE starts working again

Today, directly after the M7.9 flare, there was a proton event
ACE is put into safe mode whenever they see a proton event on it's way. They do this so that the sensors onboard ACE are not damaged or fried.

We have had quite a few proton events this month, and thus we have lost ACE data quite a bit
they should turn it back on sometime before morning (i think haha)

I have a quick question if anyone can help me answer it.. if someone could tell me if this statement would be true or not.. ive tried to search and sift through the technical jargon but as most of you would already understand this, i figure its easier to just ask for a true or false answer lol.. love ya bunches
