Take a look at the ACE data simulation here [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

Damn, that speed is really getting it.

Did you mean Solar Wind?

If you did then I would have to say that no,it was rather low..400kms.

: )

Much Respect to you Pools of Light.
 Quoting: Spittin'Cesium

When I looked at it on the 11th it was much higher than 400kms, so not sure what the problem was/is. :)

All good though, as it is in flux. hf

No. It's still updating. UTC is correct and I saw the line refresh. It hung at the top for a bit.

INFO FROM SIDC - RWC BELGIUM 12 Jun 2012, 1202UT

There was an inhomogeneity in the solar wind noticed by ACE. The geomagnetic field imbedded in the solar wind was such that a minor geomagnetic storm at planetary levels occurred. Locally, the K rose up to 4. The sunspot groups present on the solar disk are expected to continue to flare in the C-level.

Guess I fell asleep on the job last night and missed a full-halo Type IV CME. I'm supposing it was from a major filament eruption since there were no big flares. The CACTus details show a very fast max. velocity of nearly 2000 km/s.

[link to www.sidc.oma.be]

SEEDS SOHO-based CME movie:

[link to spaceweather.gmu.edu]

Two more filaments in the south can be seen lifting off in this H-alpha movie, one on the east limb and one in the SW. However these two events were much later than the halo CME noted above.

[link to halpha.nso.edu]

NASA CME cone cygnet shows a glancing blow coming, but I'm not sure what event this is for.

[link to iswa.gsfc.nasa.gov:8080]

So far there's no prediction of arrival time.

AR1504 has already produced 3 M-flares and that was 3 days ago when it much smaller. Look at how big it's gotten in over the past 72 hours.

1504 on June 9-

There is some type of LDE presenting itself on GOES.

[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

Currently at C3.5 and rising ???

Now C4.5

Global D heating up, [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

and although region 1504 looks hot on EVE, I'm not seeing a signature "flare"

M1.0

Well it's definitely 1504, finally a flare signature.

Being an LDE, probably a nice size earth facing CME.

[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] We've got decent proton saturation, look for these numbers to increase for sure with the sunspot activity on the rise.
