Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18389265 I have been thinking the same thing. Does the Sun just go from Min to Max in an instant? Like hitting a switch? I don't think it going from min to max instantly is going to be good for earth. Plus they are expecting this solar max to be about 65% less the normal max we usually get. This also can't be good. I say little ice age is in the making. IMHO. |

But, like you mentioned, it should be getting more active as the days get closer to it's expected peak. I don't think we will see any more of a peak than what we have been getting. So it is why I think an little ice age could be in the making. |

This may be quite normal in the scheme of things, I haven't heard anyhting about calling this whole thing off, or being any less than anticipated. Why, just two hours ago (~20:00) there was a filament eruption, southern hemisphere, 6 o'clock high, Earth facing. H alpha shows the liftoff... [link to halpha.nso.edu] Also visible on SDO AIA 304. Moderate coronal dimming on SDO 193. [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] Nothing on SOHO yet but stereo ahead show the massive size of this thing... [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] OK, so it's not massive. But it is Earth facing! But not Earth directed most likely... Nevermind. -- |

Very strange a sudden spike(they had to add 250 NanoTelsa again)but on only one of the Channels!? It's real else they would'nt have added the + 250 NT to the graph..what may have caused it? Perhaps another 'Earth Pulse' maybe or is it just that a tinie, tiny part of the Filament eruption from a few Days back just clipped us enough to maybe cause such a sudden, singular upset!? Anyhoo'.it's wierd. I await an Electron Fraggle. I've felt extremely extremely off today...serious mid-brain headache and just weird...I've always been somewhat solar sensitive but don't see much going on right now in that perspective. I do check HAARP tho sometimes to see if some of the frequencies they measure have changed and sure enough a very interesting last few hours on HAARP... [link to www.haarp.alaska.edu] |

With that being said, wouldn't any eruption magnetically pull anything ejected right to us? Just curious since I read that we were connected to that area in some way. |
