So this means what? We flying blind here or do we have other options for info? Sorry for the questions just kind of freaky. My oldest son, a man eating shark antichrist of a defense attorney (whom I adore), just walked in and said that it is weird as hell outside, and that people are acting different tonight. The reason I describe him like that is because he is the type of guy that does not just say stuff, he is kind of a hard ass logical type.

No, you don't need to unplug anything, it's not like a lightning bolt. Keep your batteries fully charged or have extras on hand, just in case. The most at-risk areas for power grid problems are closer to the poles (think South Africa, Argentina, Canada, Northern Europe, etc) and tropics are the least at-risk area. Above all, DON'T PANIC!

It's quite possible, but the storm hasn't even begun yet. No one can say exactly how strong or how long the storm conditions will persist. Keep checking back with this thread tomorrow and keep your fingers crossed. I personally think your chances for aurora are pretty good.
