NOAA is so full of themselves. They still have the Kp at 5, of course. To the imbicile that was arguing with TS66 (that I barely caught a brief look at),..NOAA only uses the Boulder Magnetometer now for their Kp index readings. They are too (censored) to use a compilation of readings from various high latitude magnitometers, like real scientist do. The USAF however still uses various magnetometers including Boulder's for their averaged actual, and estimated Kp index.
The USAF chart is still available at NOAA however, found here, and the 4 hr predicted JUST WENT OFF THE CHART PAST KP 9

Uhh the NOAA Kp index does use a compilation:

The Estimated 3-hour Planetary Kp-index is derived at the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center using data from the following ground-based magnetometers: Boulder, Colorado; Chambon la Foret, France; Fredericksburg, Virginia; Fresno, California; Hartland, UK; Newport, Washington; Sitka, Alaska

Only the K-index (not Kp) alerts here [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] are based solely on Boulder.
