they recalculated the speed of yesterdays CME it was FASTER than they 1st reported VERY FAST FARSIDE CME (UPDATED): On July 23rd, a coronal mass ejection (CME) blasted away from the sun with rare speed: 3400 km/s or 7.6 million mph [ link to spaceweather.com] HOLY WOW! So lucky it wasn't earthfacing ........... If it was earth facing, what would that mean besides reaching us faster? think of a car hitting a wall at 15mph and the damage to both.... now that same car hitting that same wall at 150mph.... get the point.
