Hmmm this slipped by....... Space Weather Message Code: ALTEF3 Serial Number: 1946 Issue Time: 2012 Aug 21 1310 UTC ALERT: Electron 2MeV Integral Flux exceeded 1000pfu Threshold Reached: 2012 Aug 21 1255 UTC Station: GOES-13 Potential Impacts: Satellite systems may experience significant charging resulting in increased risk to satellite systems. [ link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]  Why?  Maybe this ??? IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled with a slight chance for active conditions on days 1-2 (21-22 August) due to continued effects from
the coronal hole high speed stream. On day 3 (23 August) conditionsare expected to return to predominately quiet levels. I was just going to ask if it could be the coronal hole. You answered before I asked. That's pretty darn fast 66. lol
