Good night and Morning from germany^^

Keep in mind this baby has some int stuff onboard for us Solarwatchers :)

Two heavily shielded 1,400-pound satellites set for launch early Friday will fly in tandem through Earth's energetic Van Allen radiation belts in a two-year $686 million mission to probe the structure of the huge doughnut-shaped zones, how they are affected by titanic solar storms and the threat they pose to astronauts and costly spacecraft

LIVE streaming video and coverage of this morning's Atlas 5 rocket is underway!

Set to launch at 4:08a ET. Watch live starting at 1:30a on NASA TV: [link to www.nasa.gov]

Just popped in quickly(fragglist)..Thank you for posting that link for the Super Tard Rocket Launch IWTB : )

Were you aware that fellow Solar Fraggle Shenu's hubby actually worked on some of the V.A Belt Projects directly?

Thats' pretty awesome,I wish he was a Glper so we could get some first hand analysis of the data when it starts coming in(all going well)..thats' if he actually is a Scientist of some hue or another and not just a NASA Arc Welder or the like : )

If he is one of the Scientists I'm going to find it hard trying not to ask Shenu to ask her hubby 'What such and such' is for constantly,it'll be too tempting.
