Actually I believe he was working with higher frequencies in Colorado Springs, in 1899.
He built a large Tesla coil/resonantor to transmit power without wires.
It succeeded in achieving resonance and blew at least one of the main city's transformers which pissed off the locals.
But it did work.

That is why, later, he built that tower at Wardenclyffe.
To prove he could transmit energy over large distances without wires.
When it was discovered he planned to give this energy to the people for free, his funding was pulled and the tower destroyed. You would be surprised as who was funding him.

Overall X-Rays are again back on the move [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] but seemingly not from any of the areas on the disc but instead a region that is far around the Eastern Limb [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] and as you can see on the Magnetogram [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] there does'nt appear to be any sign yet of its' Polarized surrounding areas on the Mid-South-East Limb.

And of course...as any good scientist...a tad loopy.....when he stated that he could crack open the earth by using harmonics, people laughed at the idea....methinks he was deadly serious...
