here a repeat performance....i know these guy is a slow talker....but listen he is really talking about the sun cycle....the Mayan have many cycles and the one ending this year is not the longest....this is a solar cycle and much older then our modern 11 year.....

what it means...well go scream at the Spaniards...they killed all those who know and destroyed all records hundreds of years ago.

Now here is where it gets interesting. Its my theory that as we enter a more dense part of the photon cloud the suns magnetic field will do the same as ours on earth, getting bigger/folding/flipping; to compensate for the increased 'interstellar' wind from old stars blowing up/nebula.

NOW if the sun does this surely it will start to agitate the cores of the planets in our solar system?
This in turn would lead to more molten rock and more movement due to expanding gasses and expanding magma.

Hello there Psy : )

Not to be disrepectful but that is'nt a Mayan Elder..for instance, look at his Hair - Remove the bit of Chinese Made Cloth and you have a Pantene using Buisnessman with a Buisness Haircut.

Also,he appears to be wearing fibers not made in South America.

I'd think about it before trusting that man Psy.

i stumbled on to this from an old thread.
this was from the bight one...Huge M Eye!

wow i think we have got one of the smarter ones on GLP to see there might be things happening and it can effect EVERTHING!
Since Galactic Cosmic Rays often come up on this thread, this new article caught my attention. If I can read between the lines correctly, they may be trying to say that GCR's mutate molecular structures that become the "building blocks of life". If true, the implications of this are monumental.

"Cosmic rays alter chemistry of lunar ice
by Staff Writers
Durham NH (SPX) Mar 21, 2012

Space scientists from the University of New Hampshire and multi-institutional colleagues report they have quantified levels of radiation on the moon's surface from galactic cosmic ray (GCR) bombardment that over time causes chemical changes in water ice and can create complex carbon chains similar to those that help form the foundations of biological structures."

"CRaTER characterizes the global lunar radiation environment and its biological impacts by measuring radiation behind a "human tissue-equivalent" plastic.

Serendipitously, the LRO mission made measurements during a period when GCR fluxes remained at the highest levels ever observed in the space age due to the sun's abnormally extended quiet cycle. During this quiescent period, the diminished power, pressure, flux and magnetic flux of the solar wind allowed GCRs and SEPs to more readily interact with objects they encountered - particularly bodies such as our moon, which has no atmosphere to shield the blow."

"Biological structures", lunar ice, and Galactic Cosmic Rays are 3 things I've never heard NASA mention in the same paragraph. Maybe all the BS about "upgrading our DNA" isn't BS after all. Hmmmm.

hmmm...thought...large Flare in the rotating area...unhooking that nasty filament...and sending a nasty whiplash type CME our way....? [link to sdodata.oma.be]

I have been thinking...(while watching whales in the bay from my back-deck and smoking)...what would cause the SS's to appear, strengthen, flare, develop damn large as they rotate away from us/ sit on the 'darkside' of the sun, then flare, playup, misbehave, get cranky as they rotate around the limb...before quieting down again when they become earth facing???/

Magnetism? is there a weird magnetic connection between the sun and earth that the far-side has moreeeee 'attraction'/pressure to the earth and thus SS are formed/developed, and as they rotate back toward us the pressure is releived?
hmmm...
Peace

Hello everyonehi

Just a few things, firstly - I don't know how this alert snuck by and made it onto the NOAA Alerts page -

Space Weather Message Code: WARK07
Serial Number: 38
Issue Time: 2012 Aug 27 1443 UTC

WARNING: Geomagnetic K-index of 7 or greater expected
Valid From: 2012 Aug 27 1443 UTC
Valid To: 2012 Aug 27 1500 UTC
Warning Condition: Onset
NOAA Scale: G3 or greater - Strong to Extreme
Potential Impacts: Area of impact primarily poleward of 50 degrees Geomagnetic Latitude.
Induced Currents - Power system voltage irregularities possible, false alarms may be triggered on some protection devices.
Spacecraft - Systems may experience surface charging; increased drag on low Earth-orbit satellites and orientation problems may occur.
Navigation - Intermittent satellite navigation (GPS) problems, including loss-of-lock and increased range error may occur.
Radio - HF (high frequency) radio may be intermittent.
Aurora - Aurora may be seen as low as Pennsylvania to Iowa to Oregon. [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] That was on the 27th,around the time I was watching the incredible high speed SW from CH503 on the CCMC Magnetosphere/Ionosphere Sim. and saw for myself short periods where our Fields were allowing through and trapping some of the Charge from the awesome power of the CH stream - The alert was cancelled almost as soon as it was posted, but it was posted(for whatever reason).

About the HMI Farside [link to vso.tuc.noao.edu] that I posted Yesterday - I did point out after posting it originally that both the HMI and GONG Farside images appeared to be way off when compared to the Stonyhurst Heliographic, here -

HMI [link to vso.tuc.noao.edu]

GONG [link to gong2.nso.edu]

Stonyhurst Heliographic [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov]

Hope that clears that one up a little : )

I have been wondering about the ladder signal being picked up on the H.I.M,It does look very deliberate meaning it must be coming from something Human somewhere - Perhaps to aid the launch of the VA Belt Probes they are modifying a area of the Upper Atmospheres/Ionosphere?

I mean,if ever there was a time to use these Arrays to induce rather than induct it would be in the aid of Space Exploration,no?

Looks like we have another active SR (S15E87) behind 1562 and 1563,that just gave us our latest C1.9 flare [link to www.lmsal.com]
maybe returning SS 1550, although I have my doubts, perhaps a new region ???

From: U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA,
Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force.

(Has anyone ever noticed the US dept of Commerce before ??? Weird.)

IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: Geomagnetic activity is
expected to be quiet to unsettled on 31 August and 1 September with
a chance for minor to major storm levels at high latitudes. Activity
is expected to return to mostly quiet levels on 2 September with a
slight chance for active to minor storm levels at high latitudes.
Increased activity on days 1 and 2 is due to a coronal hole high
speed stream
.

III. Event Probabilities 31 Aug-02 Sep

And from Solen ... [link to www.solen.info]

At midnight UTC the visible solar disk had 13 spotted active regions (in 2K resolution SDO images).

Region 11553 [S21W30] developed further with the major spots in a compact configuration. A minor M class flare is possible.
Region 11554 [N16W66] was quite active during the first half of the day, however, as the magnetic layout simplified activity ceased and the region is decaying. Flare: C7.6 at 09:12 UTC
Region 11555 [N07E03] decayed slowly and quietly.
Region 11558 [N17E36] decayed and could soon become spotless. This is AR 11559 in SWPC data but was originally AR 11558.
Region 11560 [N03E24] developed further and is quickly becoming the most interesting region on the visible disk. A magnetic delta structure has formed in a trailing penumbra. M flares are possible.
New region 11561 [S12E16] emerged on August 29 and was numbered the next day by SWPC.
New region 11562 [S17E52] emerged on August 29 and got its NOAA number the next day.
New region 11563 [S26E70] rotated into view. The region produced an M1.3 flare at 12:11 UTC.

Spotted regions not numbered by NOAA/SWPC:
S1884 [N13E18] was quiet and stable.
S1885 [N24W15] reemerged with a tiny spot.
S1890 [S23E36] decayed and could soon become spotless.
New region S1891 [S15E83] rotated partly into view.
New region S1892 [N13W29] emerged with a few spots.

If in doubt look closer to home and look at the strange lighting, weather patterns, ice melt at both poles (mainly north), migrating magnetosphere *which holds up the van allen radiation belts*. Magma has also shown rapid reversals.

Ignore all that....Then you are lost and are oblivious.

What is coming? Who knows, man has not seen this before. Not in declassified recorded history anyway!

LOve it...how long has the electrons/Protons/'muck' been sitting in the depths of space, and been charged by GRB's, pushed along gathering more plasma/'muck' and who knows what, until now, when we collide with it, and give it something to do!
 Quoting: nerdrage88sasr

Exactly,MASSIVE amounts of charged plasmatic hydrogen, and helium Nucleii just wanting to find a partner to get all tangled up with

This isn't a balanced mass either, density on different levels as we pass through may give us a completely different reaction.

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan

Man's existence is nothing more than a blink of an eye in the realm of Earth's 5 billion year evolution and history, and only man has had the arrogance to find a way in which to destroy it all in the last hundred.
