[link to missionignition.net] The reason that you see Sunspots forming along two different lines is to do with the speed of rotation of the Sun at different latitudes - as we approch Solar Max Sunspots aswell as other Solar features will appear to form closer to the equator as the Solar poles get ready to swap. There is alot more to this but you will have to allow me to awaken properly so that my Brain is in gear : ) .
