I have to admit I was wrong (again!) about the 3rd CH. the Solar wind speed has dropped back to 355 km/s. The IMF polarity model (NOAA) was also wrong as the Bz has steadily tracked north today although the model said it would flip southward.

The SDO/AIA 304a movie is much better (go to SDO data page and start at 14:30utc) as well as the STEREO B EUVI movie I posted earlier. I wish IWTB76 was around today to cobble together a video for us. Let's try to contact him telepathically, OK?
