My logic is a little off I think. A lunar distance is a measure of distance only, so it doesn't mean the asteroid will come between earth and the moon. It could pass on the other side, no where near the moon, but it would be closer than the distance to the moon, hope that makes sense.

Stereo is'nt updating - if it was we should see this [link to halpha.nso.edu] ejecting nicely.

Pretty large really.

As we don't know its' position relative to our Moon it could pass between or not at all,as you stated above.

On January 13, 2010 at 12:46 UT, near-Earth asteroid 2010 AL30[45] passed at about 122,000 km (76,000 mi). It was approximately 10–15 m (33–49 ft) wide. If 2010 AL30 had entered the Earth's atmosphere, it would have created an air burst equivalent to between 50 kT and 100 kT (kilotons of TNT). The Hiroshima "Little Boy" atom bomb had a yield between 13-18kT.[46]

I'm back in - I just spent a fair old while trying to link up our Suspicious0bservers with info pertaining to Water and Water Vapour in Sunspots - YT won't allow me to PM him so I had to C/P a load of quotes from different sites and splurge them all over his comments board : )

I don't know what to correctly call the almost straight line Coronal Hole in the South here [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] would 'Coronal Crack' be adequate!?
