As far as I know the time of impact has little to do with the BZ component. It is based on the polarity of the CME itself. I recall some impacts which started off as positive and then changed to a more negative polarity and vice versa. |

TEC, for one. why would the USGS over the last several year create so many ground sensors to read things...I think they now have more then NASA and NOAA. yes the USGS [link to geomag.usgs.gov] so there in it self must show some proof there just might be connections to solar activity and EQ's. It is the solar activity that effects quakes, whether it be in the form of filaments, CME's or winds. Nope not an expert.
