HI, ya'll. Lurking as usually. Just wanted to let you know you guys are AWESOME. I was watching the Meteor Detection Live Feed and caught a couple pictures that have me scratching my head. Did any of you see it?? I would post picture but don't have a freaking clue how :)

Yes, Madajs, even tho' I foresaw this it took me by surprise. I think we're seeing a co-rotational interaction region and the first gusts from the coronal hole. More like storm Phase II, haha. I hope TS66 and NINzrez are out watching the Northern Lights and the Draconid meteors tonight.

That second C-flare was from the NE limb. These two regions seem to be VERY well-connected across the equator.

Significant earthquake precursor signal detected on 10/08/12 at 0225utc/2225est. Possible 6+.

Radio Direction Finder has signal coming in East of France from somewhere out in the Northern, Mid to Southern portions of the Pacific plate to Alaska, Canada and Chile.

All who live anywhere in the vicinity of this line trajectory should be wary next 5 hours. Have escape plan ready and seek open terrain in the event of felt tremor. Secure most of your heavy objects and belongings around your home.

Namaste,

Hopefully I am wrong. Or it hits an unpopulated area.
Japan is also a likely target. Be wary.

Thanks for post, Miahf, I wish I had an answer for you. I've only seen that site a couple of times and usually a meteor leaves a much bigger signature. I'm not sure exactly where they are scanning in the sky (is it one state, the Northern Hemisphere, the whole globe, or just one patch of sky?). Perhaps they have a webmaster or contact email you could ask. That could be raindrops or incoming ICBMs for all I know, LOL. I hope someone has more info.

I think it's pretty random, whenever the forces are present in sufficient quantities it erupts. Similar to the Heisenberg principal, the act of observing affects our perception of events. The Earth, Sun and the entire Universe is in motion, so our designations of east, west, up, and down are purely subjective and arbitrary. Remember the human brain is wired to perceive patterns even where none exist.

I do however keep the door open to Divine (or supernatural, if you prefer) Intervention.

Before I go nite-nite, I meant to post this earlier, but got sidetracked by all of the sudden excitement. Y'know the continuing geomagnetic storm (still K=6 last I checked), the CMEs, flares and auroras....we haven't had this much going on w/the sun for weeks. Anyway,...

The Moon's Magnetic Umbrellas

Lunar watchers have been crying over spilt milk for decades. But now the mystery of milky splotches on the moon's surface might finally be solved: sections of soil are being protected by weak but effective magnetic bubbles.

The work could help spaceship builders devise magnetic shielding to protect astronauts on future missions from harmful radiation.

Unlike Earth, the moon has no global magnetic field to shield it from the solar wind – the constant flow of charged particles from the sun. These particles interact with lunar soil, darkening it over thousands of years.
