I was watching the last couple of days from my phone, thanks so much for keeping everything flowing(like y'all always do) whilst I'm on the mend(again). Gonna change my handle to Misterpreexistingcondition, lol. My star died in the meantime, oh well, easy come, easy go...it was fun whilst it lasted. A very well spoken seemingly intelligent woman, that in all honesty should not even be allowed behind the wheel of a car. Quoting: TS66 And this is not the first time I've heard this sentiment !!! How in the world are we collectively as a species going to survive doom ???? LOL That can't be for real! They're out there, thats for sure. Had man in front of me at a Caseys pizza quick stop. Guy asked him how many slices did he want his pizza cut into 8 or 10. The guy looked at him in all seriousness and said, "I don't think theres anyway I can eat 10, better make it 8." omg Join Me On The GLP SOLAR WATCH Thread Thread: SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! Hugh M Eye User ID: 22914370 United States 10/11/2012 08:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First Mars rock analyzed by Curiosity rover is "pyramid-shaped" and contains Feldspar...ok. Photo of Martian rock named "Jake Matijevic" (who?): [link to www.jpl.nasa.gov] EDIT-here's the hi-res image I meant to post- [link to photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov] snip>"Jake is kind of an odd Martian rock," said APXS Principal Investigator Ralf Gellert of the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. "It's high in elements consistent with the mineral feldspar, and low in magnesium and iron." ChemCam found unique compositions at each of 14 target points on the rock, hitting different mineral grains within it. "ChemCam had been seeing compositions suggestive of feldspar since August, and we're getting closer to confirming that now with APXS data, although there are additional tests to be done," said ChemCam Principal Investigator Roger Wiens (WEENS) of Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. Examination of Jake included the first comparison on Mars between APXS results and results from checking the same rock with ChemCam, which shoots laser pulses from the top of the rover's mast. If the sun is supposed to be a fireball, then does that mean it is being fed a constant source of oxygen? And if so, what made that oxygen? For it to flare like that, wouldn't that then mean that the sun is getting bursts of oxygen to burn off? Now then, if the sun is an electric sun like many people suggest, then wouldn't the bursts from the sun have a more electric look to it, like you see in those novelty electric balls? The bursts from the sun look more like how water would flow than fire or electricity? Maybe lava like flow? Could everyone be wrong about the sun. Fire would spark and flare outwards in many directions, not circular even flowing bursts! Same goes with electricity. These are very violent elements (fire and electricity) Could it be a combination of fire/electricity/lava/water/wind(oxygen) all rolled into one? Just thought I'd give you guys something else to think about! Heres one of the gems from that thread! There you have it , solar flares are a combination of fire, electricity, lava,WATER,and wind(oxygen), we have been duped into thinking hydrogen was the source Last Edited by Thinking out loud on 10/11/2012 08:53 PM “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. Quoting: shenue I have spent so much time worrying about one supposed ELE after another especially after coming to GLP. I had to stop going to so many other threads. There are only a few that I go to on GLP now with any regularity...this one being my 'home' though. I think I have managed to step back a little bit though and stop worrying that huge tragedies are around every corner. I haven't managed to step away from all of it yet though. Good night everyone. Peace!! i think its always good to keep one foot slightly in the door while peeking around the corner to see what up ^^ nity nite Shada :) sleep well Excellent way to put it NiN. That is what hubby and I try to do. We have worked at being prepared, as best we can with a fair amount of supplies...well packed buggg-out bags in each vehicle, extra food, water, emergency supplies...etc. So, we do the best we are able to do for when the S(may)HTF. But I try not to dwell on it almost every waking hour, as I used to do. I used to feel guilty, and worried about not being prepped enough. Now I just spend a lot of time learning how to do for myself rather than "prep". I'm sure I won't mind eating woodchuck or even a turtle if I were hungry enough, and know full well it's how my grandparents survived in the 40's. I'm going to make my first batch of cheese this week, mulching my garden beds, put a point well with hand pump in this summer, etc, etc. All things I'd like to do for myself, doom or no doom. The more self sufficient we make ourselves the less fear of doom is involved, at least in rural areas. I agree 100%!! I think its totally important to learn to be more self sufficient....and to teach our kids too In the end you either don't survive, or you only delay the inevitable So either way, enjoy it while you can !!! “My religion is nature.
