auroras South of Raleigh, NC??? Thread: Night rainbow Weird. I just saw a thread on here about a rainbow in the night sky. I went out just a few minutes ago to let my dog do his business. I looked in the northern sky and there is a rainbow and it is dark also looks like a sunset but in the north. It is 10 till 10 here. Looks very strange and I can not find the other post I saw. South of Raleigh, NC. There are clouds, but the northern sky looks like sunset with a faint rainbow coming up from the bright sunset looking part. trying to get a pic of it. A little fuzzy no tripod but here it is [ link to img715.imageshack.us] That's def. the aurora. How can you see it all the way down in NC when I can't see it here in NJ??
