All in all, a very weak impact from the CMEs. The Bz was South for a bit but changed to North around 08:00z. Density in the first wave peaked at near 35 p/cu.cm. In the past several hours the density went up to near 50p/cu.cm., but Bz has remained North.

We could still experience storm levels if the Bz flips South again. With the large number of CMEs out there, I would expect unsettled conditions possible for the next few days.

For noobies, here's a great, concise history and explanation of the K, Kp, and A indices from Lief Svalgaard's site:

Before the Bz went North, I captured this aurora-cam shot from Alaska (via NICT)-NICT, Japan : [link to slamon.nict.go.jp]
