SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)

I'm saying that if that is a CME, at 9-10, then it has the same bilateral segmented shape as the SDO (which are def. not CME's, relatively stationary and non expanding objects often holding their place for hours) images that I also posted.. it certainly looks like a CME since it's getting larger in the frame as time goes on, and appears to be made of plasma, and it certainly could be a CME.. but to me it seems like it's far more symmetrical, geometrically complex and regular than any CME I've ever seen, along with the lack of residual tail.. going back to the first images it's visible as leaving the sun it's structure really doesn't change, stretch or distort like any other CME I've seen does, it just looks like it's getting bigger/closer in the images without any of the other expected factors..

Yes I see what appears to be a secondary "explosion" from the ejecta, after the primary regardless of what created it. I am second guessing myself at this point, because I don't think I have ever looked this closely at a CME as it erupts from the surface of the sun, just that it is and has. However, now that I have, because of you, it gives me a good reference point in the future, and for that I thank you

I've seen shots with over a dozen of these present,makes you wonder. There have been many threads about these anomalies. There was atime about ayear ago where they were present for over a week

Well,this [link to stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov] looks like a strange Mass Ejection?

I felt for a few weeks now, sun was going to produce a new planetary body, this looks like a good candidate. Great catch AC, come here often?

These are very interesting,but have been around for quite awhile. NIP did an entire thread on these as she said they were ships from the mother ship that fueled up from the sun. I saw one pic that had at least a dozen of these in and around the corona,crazy stuff. I can't remember anyone debunking these guys, although astro said they were some kind of lens malfunction,even though they move

Did you see the images SC posted a few days ago of an ejection that just sat there for what seemed like days??

This is very good news, article says fully operational by February 2013 (cutting it close to max I'd say) and could give 20 hours warning versus the 4-5 we get now. Good find joinca, thanks

Those are artifacts,you see them very often on those EUVI movies/images - The most common type of anomaly artifacts on those movies/images are the ones that look like they have 4 wings and other times they look like swarming UFO's - I just grabbed a video of some of the anomalous image artifacts for you(may want to turn down the beats)here -

The One on Behind is not the main one seen on Ahead,the Behind looks quite cool if you tap Play/Pause/Play/Pause as it is clumped into a tight bundle.

seems strange that they need to build another telescope, on earth, in our atmosphere,with all the interference on the surface? isn't that why nassa built the stereo satalites and sdo?
What could they be looking for i wonder?

Surely you guys and gals have seen this image artifacts many times before on the EUVI Images and Movies,surely shirly!?

They are almost a constant feature on those images,some do look incredibly like crafts of some kind or other and I remember being taken aback the first time I encountered them as they appear so 'there' and appear to have reason in their apparent movements but alas,they be due to the imager.

There are some really cool videos anyway of these on YT,it is easy to believe they are real objects and I did for about 2 Weeks(ish) : )

Hi SC, I didn't think that was what AC was talking about it, I do see those artifacts from the vids in some of the AC's links.........I thought AC was talking about the round planet-like black object in this image below, at the 11 o'clock position, right on the edge of the occulting disc.

shows up again on this, slightly compressed, not fully circular yet

Then in this one, I see a small round object closer to the sun than the artifact at the 7 o'clock position. The one I see is closer to sun at like 6:33 (on the clock).

Wow...that's great!

Here's the ones TS posted, I can see the same orb at the 6:30 ish position. At least this is what I saw.

You know, come to think of it, I don't think this is what AC was talking about, but this IS the exact same spot that I see my phantom planet!!! Remember, couple of months ago, Hugh posted that image with the perfect circular orb at the 11o'clock position that I picked up on and did a thread about? This is interesting. Here is one of the pics from that thread, this also sort of has the coronal cavity within a coronal cavity effect TS described.

The first link [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] that Dark patch is always present in one shape or another around the occulting disc on Behind,here it is now [link to stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov] and on Ahead [link to stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov]

On your last link [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] I cannot make out the object you mean,but I can see the other..I can see though a anomaly I haven't noticed before in that image,if you go to exactly 9 on the Dial and zoom in just off the limb there is a very,very small White(ish)Circular Spot - That I do not know what it is?

But as for the craft like objects on the EUVI,they are very common and due to the imager itself

hmm, why is it always present? What is it? Does it move, or is it always in the same position?

It moves as it is a darker area,it is because there is less light there compared to other areas - If you look now it is different than when you posted.

C3 is showing a cool CME in the North that has blown a nice ring shape [link to sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov] .
