The lighted one (like a star)?? I believe that is an asteroid/comet. You see them quite frequently.

In fact it's amazing just what you do see when you look close enough, and this video has been looked at by many, very closely!!!

 Quoting: TS66

It appears to me that the ball of light hits and bounces off the larger object in question...
 Quoting: littlemiracles

Nice catch, it does appear to do so, but I would think if there was damage to a lens, anything that would go past would be somewhat distorted, like looking through a chip in a windshield, and would appear to bounce off.

I'm no expert for sure, but have been watching the sun for a of few years now .... and everyone has to look at the evidence and come to their own conclusions ... those are mine wink

You are more or less correct 66,this has been on the Cornagraphs before,it is a small fiber on the CCD Camera like this [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] <---About - Close up image of a small fiber on the surface of the CCD camera for COR2 on STEREO Ahead. Click on the image to see the location on the detector. [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov]

Also, the other artifacts on the EUVI Images movies are due to Cosmic Rays, example [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] and [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] About the First image - Two cosmic rays distorted by the high compression factors applied to beacon data, as seen by the STEREO Behind EUVI telescope on January 18, 2010 [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] and the Second image - Same cosmic rays as seen in the full resolution data. Many more cosmic ray events are visible. Only the brightest two show up in the beacon image. [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] .

Anytime you catch a anomaly on the Coronagraphs first check here [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] and cross reference your image with the examples listed.

Hope you are all goodsunhf

WTH, is that object just below the black??
 Quoting: miabelieves

The object doesn't even budge when a flare pops
 Quoting: Dapurps

Looks like something to do with the lens.
 Quoting: TS66

i remember us talking back in 2011 about the same type of object being seen in the same area by the sun
i did some digging and was able to find this video from June 2011

[link to youtu.be]

I ran across this video from Oct 2012 for those of you that like to see the odd things around our beautiful sun

Hello NiNzsunhf

I just thought I'd re-quote my earlier comment about these anomalies so that folks can get the official explanation for these anomalies : )

I am not saying you guys have to buy the explanation but thought it should be included in your reasoninghf
